Booking Terms & Conditions

Thank you for booking an experience with The Approach. Please read these Booking Terms & Conditions before completing your booking.

By making a booking with The Approach, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms.

Booking

Your place is confirmed once full payment has been received.

Bookings are non-transferable unless agreed in accordance with our cancellation policy below.

Participant Declaration & Assumption of Risk

Climbing, hiking and other outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury.

By participating in a The Approach activity, you confirm that:

You understand and accept that these activities involve inherent risks.
You are participating voluntarily.
You are physically fit to take part and will inform
The Approach of any medical condition, injury or medication that may affect your participation.
You will follow all instructions provided by The Approach instructors and use equipment as directed.
You will behave responsibly and in a manner that does not place yourself or others at unnecessary risk.
You understand that outdoor conditions, terrain and weather can change and that no outdoor activity can be completely risk-free.
The Approach reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose behaviour is considered unsafe.

Participants Under 18

Participants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Where required, a parent or legal guardian must complete the booking and accept these terms on behalf of the participant.

Booking Changes & Cancellations

14 days or more before the activity: You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund or transfer your booking to another available date.

Less than 14 days before the activity: Bookings are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person. Please notify us in advance if you wish to transfer your place.

Cancellation by The Approach

If The Approach cancels an activity due to adverse weather, safety concerns, insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered either:

A full refund, or
The option to transfer to another available date.

Programme Changes

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants, The Approach reserves the right to amend the itinerary, activity location, timings or substitute an alternative venue or activity where necessary.

Weather

Outdoor activities take place in a variety of weather conditions and will only be cancelled where conditions are considered unsafe by The Approach. Light rain or changeable weather does not automatically result in cancellation.

Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for ensuring they arrive on time, wear suitable clothing and footwear, and follow all instructions provided by The Approach instructors.

Photography & Video

Photographs and videos may be taken during activities.

Images will only be used where participants have given consent during the booking process or by completing a photography consent form.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

Acceptance

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Booking & Cancellation Policy.
